Kentucky Kingdom has logged another successful year in their history books, seeing attendance go up a whopping 33% in 2016 to 800,000 visitors. That's quite a big jump for the park, which is still slowly rising from the ashes after Six Flags closed the park before its 2010 season. It reopened in 2014 under the leadership of Ed Hart, who has worked tirelessly to grow and expand the property again.
The park says that much of the attendance gain in 2016 was the result of new out of state visitors, something that Kentucky Kingdom has pushed hard for since it reopened. They hope to break the 1 million visitor mark as soon as the 2017 season.

Kentucky Kingdom hasn't publicly said what will be added to the park for the 2017 season, but Ed Hart has made it clear that something will be added every year so watch for an announcement soon!
