Two New Kids Areas Opening at Six Flags Over Georgia for 2016 Season

Recognizing that the park's children's areas needed a refresh, Six Flags Over Georgia is going all-out next year and totally redoing not one, but two full sections for kids in 2016.

Located adjacent to one another, the areas will be named Bugs Bunny BoomTown, and the first-of-its kind DC Super Friends.  Combined they will feature 12 attractions, a mix of brand new rides and some rethemed existing ones.

DC Super Friends will be located in the area of the park's original Dolphin Show, and be the first children's area to carry the DC theme.  New rides include "Superman Tower of Power, which releases the dare devil in the bravest of souls throughout this 65-foot tall bouncing thrill ride; The Batcopters, an opportunity to help save the City of Gotham by flying high in the sky; and Wonder Woman Flight School, where pilots can take flight and control their own invisible jet."

The Wonder Woman Flight School ride will be a set of Larson Flying Scooters, and the mini-drop ride looks like a blast for growing thrill seekers.  Additionally the park's Canyon Blaster family roller coaster will be rethemed as The Joker Funhouse Coaster, featuring the Harley Quinn Mirror Maze in its adjacent buildings.

Once known as Bugs Bunny World, and now Bugs Bunny BoomTown, this bright new area will also have several new rides.  A highlight is Daffy Ducks Bucket Blasters, a Zamperla water ride that allows riders to soak each other as they spin.  A large play structure, called the Looney Tunes Adventure Camp, will keep kids occupied for hours.  In total, there will be seven different rides and attractions spread throughout Bugs Bunny BoomTown.

Six Flags Over Georgia plans to have the Bugs Bunny BoomTown area open for the Spring, and DC Super Friends ready by Memorial Day weekend, 2016.  You can read more and find additional photos on Six Flags' website and see more in this preview video:
