The Amusing Ads Archive - Giovanola 1998

Giovanola Amusement Rides Worldwide didn't start out building roller coasters - they actually had a long history of building such fun items as highway bridges, water tanks, and electrical power stations.

They did, however, work as a subcontractor for such big name designers as Intamin fabricating track for many popular rides. In the late 1990s the company decided to branch out and advertise themselves as a stand alone company, hence the advertisement above.

Under their own name the company built rides such as Titan at Six Flags Over Texas and Anaconda at Gold Reef City, with Stengel's company as the designer. Perhaps that business plan had some holes in it, though, as the company went under in 2004.
